To ensure an unforgettable and seamless experience, we recommend keeping the following in mind:
Yellow Fever Vaccine: Highly recommended for entering the rainforest. Consult your doctor at least 4-6 weeks before the trip.
Malaria Prophylaxis: Although the risk in this area of Manu is low, talk to your doctor about the need for anti-malarial medication.
Insect Repellent: Bring a repellent with a high percentage of DEET to protect yourself from mosquitoes, which are common in the jungle.
Clothing: Dress in layers. The temperature varies significantly between the mountains and the rainforest. Bring light, quick-drying clothing in neutral colors (white and bright colors attract insects) and long sleeves to protect from the sun and mosquitoes. A light waterproof jacket or raincoat is essential.
Footwear: Comfortable, waterproof hiking boots or trekking shoes, as well as sandals for the lodge.
Additional Gear: Bring good quality binoculars (or use those we provide), a headlamp with extra batteries, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a reusable water bottle.
While you don’t need to be an athlete, a basic level of fitness is important for the hikes. The pace will be relaxed, but you will be walking on uneven and sometimes muddy trails.
Camera and Electronics: The rainforest is a photographer’s paradise. Bring your camera with extra batteries and memory cards. Electricity at the lodges is limited, often with specific times for charging devices.

Exclusivity: We avoid crowds. You travel in small groups with private guides, allowing for more personalized attention and better wildlife viewing opportunities.
Comfort: The journey is long and demanding. High-end transportation, first-class lodges, and planning that avoids the stress of long transfers make a notable difference in the experience.
Quality and Safety: Having expert guides and a support team that monitors safety at all times is invaluable.
Authentic Experience: By having more days, you can reach the most remote and pristine areas of Manu, guaranteeing wildlife sightings that are difficult to achieve on shorter tours.
This Manu Luxe package is designed for:
Luxury Travelers: Those who value exclusivity, comfort, and personalized service. It’s for those who want an adventure experience without sacrificing comfort.
Nature and Photography Lovers: People who seek a deep immersion into biodiversity. Manu is the perfect place for spotting birds and mammals and capturing unique images of flora and fauna.
